About Me

I view behaviors and patterns causing distress as creative coping strategies developed in response to life experiences, cultural and familial influences, relationships, and social dynamics. Together, my goal is to collaborate with you, fostering a compassionate, curious, and safe environment tailored to your unique needs. This space aims to uncover the wisdom behind your distress and empower you to make the changes you seek.

I work with adults across various areas, including:

  • intimacy/attachment issues

  • anxiety and depression

  • relationship challenges

  • identity exploration

  • life transitions

  • self-esteem

  • grief/loss

  • complex trauma

I have particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and providing CNM-affirming care. Clients often describe my style as warm, open, intuitive, and genuine.

My holistic therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), emotion-focused therapy, contemplative psychotherapy/mindfulness, and intersectional-feminist/multicultural theories. Regardless of the modality, my aim is to celebrate the uniqueness of each individual. I hope to foster an inclusive and respectful environment that acknowledges the influence of systemic and cultural factors on diverse lived experiences.

Drawing on my expertise as a trauma-informed therapist, certified yoga teacher, and with specialized training in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist psychology, I integrate mindfulness and somatic approaches (as indicated) to help you connect with your inner wisdom. I focus on understanding the impacts of stress and trauma on your body and nervous system.

I also bring to therapy past work experience in reproductive healthcare, outpatient eating disorder care, and cross-cultural education, which has significantly shaped my understanding of varied perspectives on wellness and the complexity of human experiences.
